Adult Intro To Sewing - CUAAINSW

Welcome sewing! We will start with one apparel item and then a tote bag. This will cover basic skills that will open the world of sewing creation to you. You will learn how to choose a pattern, fabric and decorative items that will express your style. You will acquire the construction skills to put it all together and finish the item with a variety of machine and hand sewing techniques. This foundation will allow you to branch out into design and creation in your area of interest. Sewing machines provided or bring your own. Continuing students may work on projects of their choosing.

Aikido - CUAAK

Aikido is a non-violent martial art that supports wellness, safety and personal growth. Aikido redirects the energy and momentum of an attack to create a technique that doesn't require you to be bigger, stronger, or more destructive in order to defend yourself. Techniques in their basic form result in rolls, falls, and pins but this is a universally accessible/trauma informed practice open to anyone. Students should wear comfortable exercise clothes. (Class meets Tuesdays and Thursdays).

Pottery On The Wheel - CUAALWT

Beginner to intermediate pottery class. Includes demos for making various pottery forms, including mugs, pitchers, bowls, and lidded containers. Beginners will learn to “throw” a pot on the wheel, trim, add handles, decorate, and glaze. Veteran potters will learn how to take their skills to the next level and address details to advance their skills. The class includes individual coaching for each student at their level.

Journey - Mapping Your Career Course - CUAJACC

Journey is a 9-months program that teaches teens job readiness skills by using performing and visual arts techniques! Teens will learn: Self Discipline* Team Development* Presentation Skills* Critical Thinking* Personal Development* Career Development. Journey also addresses positive and social outcomes in communities through mentoring.

These skills are acquired via the process of producing two theater productions, one in February and a closing production in June.

Journey participants meet on Monday evenings from 6:00 - 8:00 pm and the third (3rd) Saturday of each month, Starting, Saturday, October 18, 2025, from 10:00 am - 1:00 pm.
