Welcome to sewing! We will start with one apparel item and then a tote bag. This will cover basic skills that will open the world of sewing creation to you. You will learn how to choose a pattern, fabric and decorative items that will express your style. You will acquire the construction skills to put it all together and finish the item with a variety of machine and hand sewing techniques. This foundation will allow you to branch out into design and creation in your area of interest. Sewing machines provided or bring your own. Continuing students may work on projects of their choosing.

Pottery on The Wheel - CUAPOTWHL

Beginner to intermediate pottery class. Includes demos for making various pottery forms, including mugs, pitchers, bowls, and lidded containers. Beginners will learn to “throw” a pot on the wheel, trim, add handles, decorate and glaze. Veteran potters will learn how to take their skills to the next level and address details to advance their skills. The class includes individual coaching for each student at their level.

SUPPLY FEE OF $35.00 IS PAID TO THE INSTRUCTOR AT THE FIRST CLASS.

This hands-on workshop will introduce beginners to essential fly tying techniques and tools, with a focus on patterns most effective for catching fish found in the James River, like smallmouth bass and stripers. Pontoon Boat Ride with Beyond Boundaries RVA - TRPONTOON

Enjoy a relaxing time on the James River as we ride on a pontoon boat run by Beyond Boundaries RVA, a non-profit organization that specializes in guiding participants with disabilities on outdoor activities. We will meet at a boat loading dock on the James River in Henrico VA. Details of the meeting location will be included in your receipt text. Participants and accompanying caregivers must complete a waiver form with Beyond Boundaries RVA (link provided in the receipt text). Advanced registration is required, and space is very limited.
